overview

New homes and residential alterations + additions for those who love their location.

Each project’s location informs Andrew’s conceptual approach, infusing the character of his clients’ homes and relating them to the wider suburb, town, region or area within which they sit.

Andrew embraces the craft of architecture and building, and its assemblage and connection of colours, textures, materials and elements. He looks to compose simple and elegant architectural forms within which the spaces are generous, functional, and delightful. Integrated with landscapes and enriched by broader contexts, the finished homes provide environments for informal, sustainable living.

As an experienced sole practitioner, Andrew personally focusses on all aspects of his projects from beginning to end. His approach is calm, meticulous and collaborative. He takes the time to understand his clients wants and needs, and to provide them with considered design options so they can make informed choices and feel confident that their home will be most customised for how they wish to live.

services

Andrew offers a complete service spanning the early design and feasibility stages of a project through to the final construction stage, and can adapt the extent of his service to suit each client, project and budget.

profile

An awarded architect with over 20 years experience, Andrew has previously held senior positions with several leading Melbourne design architectural practices. As both a design and project architect, he has worked on a range of project scales and types spanning residential, educational, public and commercial buildings. He has also taught both design and construction courses in the architecture departments of RMIT and Melbourne universities.

Andrew has chosen to remain a sole practitioner who undertakes a relatively small number of projects at any one time. This intimate scale of the practice, coupled with his considerable and diverse experience and expertise, enables him to personally concentrate on the unique requirements inherent in each project. It also enables a professional, thorough, approachable and attentive relationship with each client and provides the foundation for well resolved and enduring architectural solutions.
